DecalTown (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the DecalTown website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

• Enquiry details — name, email address, telephone number, message content, and any property or agent identifiers you submit when you email an agent or contact us.
• Tool inputs you choose to enter — for example postcode, bedrooms, property type, income, outgoings or mortgage balance used in calculators and estimates. These are used to generate on-screen results and, where saved in your browser, to power My Home on that device.
• Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and referral URL, collected to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.
• Cookie preference — whether you accepted or declined cookies, stored in your browser (see our cookie policy).

We do not ask you to create an account to browse listings. We do not knowingly collect special category data through this site.

How we use your information

We use personal data to:

• Respond to enquiries and pass relevant details to estate agents when you ask us to contact them about a listing
• Operate property search, listing pages and buyer tools (affordability, valuation, My Home, stamp duty and mortgage calculators)
• Improve the website, fix issues and monitor performance

Online valuations, affordability figures and similar tools provide illustrative estimates only. They are not credit decisions, formal valuations or financial advice.

If you submit an enquiry about a property or agent, we share the details you provide with the relevant estate agent (and, where configured, via our form processing destination such as a Google Sheet endpoint) so they can respond to you.

We may also use trusted service providers who help us host the site, process forms or provide analytics. They act on our instructions and must keep data secure. We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up and record-keeping (typically up to 24 months, unless a longer period is required). Browser-stored tool preferences (such as a My Home estimate) remain on your device until you clear site data. Cookie preference storage remains until you clear it or change your choice.
